Shipping Our shipping policy

It's pretty simple: we use a flat rate wherever possible. Neither of us needs to spend time and get confused about various shipping rates.

We deal with a shipping broker who presents us with various options whenever we initiate a shipment. Generally the most economical and reliable carriers are UPS and Purolator.

If you give us a PO Box as a shipping address, we have no choice but to use Canada Post. That's a bother for us because they don't pick up and we have to physically take the shipment to the post office. So there is a surcharge — minimum $20 — for Canada Post shipments. We'll contact you before we do anything unless you specifically instruct us to use Canada Post. We may CHOOSE to use them if it makes sense: shipments to remote locations are an example. Again there may be a surcharge but we'll let you know.

We try to keep popular items in stock, but sometimes it's hard to keep up with demand. So we promise 1 week delivery but we usually do much better than that! If you're ordering custom products, we'll talk about it together.

If you need a shipment in a hurry (for example, WSIB is auditing you tomorrow morning!), we can use a sameday courier in the GTA and essentially we'll charge you what they charge us. Talk to us. If we have your products in stock, it can be there in a couple of hours.

If we have to stop a production line to fit your shipment in, there will be an additional charge. We'll talk.

If you want to pick your shipment up, there's no charge, but consider that our shipping rate is probably less than the cost of the gas to get there and back (our warehouse is in Newmarket). Normally you CANNOT pick up the same day -- we have to email the paperwork and instructions over to the warehouse.

So I mentioned "flat rate". For shipments to normal addresses in Ontario, we charge $12.00. Elsewhere in Canada, $16.00. If you live up in God's Country somewhere and shipping is more expensive to get to you (up in Nunavut, for instance. Air freight only!), we'll have to work it out.

Current US FDA regulations prevent us from shipping into the USA. In fact we don't ship anywhere outside of Canada.

Whether you order 1, 10 or 100 kits, it's all the same to us. If you buy larger quantities, we can afford to cover the difference in shipping costs.
